Our engagement with education and child labour has continuously attracted Indian and foreign partnership and support. Supported by Terre Des Hommes (Germany) There are eight educational centres, located close to each other to facilitate the access to vocational study centre, in the Babail Road area of Panipat. The centres boast of all the necessary infrastructures like chairs for teacher, blackboard, seats for students and various teaching and learning material. The students are also provided with a bag, textbooks, copies etc. to facilitate their learning.
The educational classes are held in two shifts, and each shift has more than 25 students and two teachers. Thus, each centre is serving around 50 students. Two hundred Thirty Five (235) children arecurrently studying in all centre put together. Girls constitute around 54% & 46 % Boys of the total students. Till today around one thousand five hundred students have been mainstreamed and imparted skill training through these centres.
The centre has a healthy mix of girls and boys. The centre is located in the premises of vocational training centre and runs in morning and evening shifts. Being the closest to administrative office, this centres serve as role models for the other centres. The teachers are trained by AIDENT to provide joyful environment while learning, handling of multi level classrooms and use of multifarious teaching tools. These teachers also work as trainer for the teachers of other centre and keep track of the activity at these centres. We are also utilising the opportunities of community and parent teachers meeting for focusing on kid’s right to education and its legal and social aspects. We have continuously underline the fact that as a guardian or as a parent it is our moral as well as legal obligation to provide our children a faire chance to study. Any slip up in this regard is a crime against our own children.
