India is among the “young” countries in the world, with the proportion of the work force in the age group of 15-59 years, growing steadily. However, present status shows only 2% of the total employees in India have undergone skills development training; India can become the worldwide sourcing hub for the skilled employees.

Skills and knowledge are the motivating force of the financial growth and community development of any country. They have become even more important given the increasing pace of globalisation and technological changes provide both challenges that are taking place in the world.

Working with the rural community for more than 15 years we have fully understood that the question of livelihood is one of the most pertinent questions confronting every individual. Creating opportunities of employment round the year is one major challenge which team Aident is facing from its very inception. Providing training in different trades i.e. data entry, mobile repairing, beauty culture, electrician, Textile printing, stitching and tailoring, automobile repairing, binding, plumbing have been one of the cornerstone of our goal to empower people. In continuation of our effort, supported by Tata Power, we have organized more than 500 women in SHG and they are not only being trained in all aspect of SHG functioning but also being exposed to a series of capacity building events, workshops and training.

Our efforts have gone beyond empowering people with skills but also helping them out to find an avenue to utilize that skill to eke out their livelihood.
