Samajik Suvidha Kendra (GRC-SK)

Self Help Group (SHGs) has been identified as one of the important tools in fight against Poverty. As part of Samajik Suvidha Kendra initiative we have been successful in forming 30 Self help groups (SHGs) in New Ashok Nagar and its catchment areas in East Delhi and all of them have been linked with banks and doing inter loaning amongst themselves. Few of them have also started group activities and we have facilitated them in developing linkages with market too. Members of these SHGs are also working as change agents on various social issues and have been vocal on raising their voices against ill doings in their communities. We have also beenusing them in propagating entitlements and benefits of Government schemes and also giving us feedback of the community thus helping us in developing upward and downward communication.
