Gender Resource Centre

The 2011 United Nations Development Programme's Human Development Report ranked India 132 out of 187 in terms of gender inequality. Women Empowerment is the soul upon which entire structure of Gender Resource Centre has been visualized and created. One of the major problems of India society is the micro and macro inequity faced by women everywhere. To help them in their fight against these inequalities and social evils Delhi government has launched this programme. Under these Centers women are educated about the social benefits including awareness about the existing social problems in the society, their legal rights, role in making important decision in their family, plan & promote better education for their children, taking care of health of the aged and the children just to mention a few. They are motivated to serve the community including fighting for the basics amenities& welfare needs of the community like Safe drinking water, Public sanitation , eve teasing and other forms of harassment etc.
